What areas do you cover?

Pet home euthanasia services are provided for dogs, cats and exotic pets throughout Maricopa County Yavapai County, Pima County, Pinal County, Apache County, Cochise County, Coconino County, and Gila County which includes Phoenix, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Cave Creek, Glendale, Sun City, Peoria, Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, Tonopah, Tucson, Casa Grande, Florence, Rio Verde, Prescott, Sedona and Camp Verde. Jerome, Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Paradise Valley, and Green Valley.

How much advance notice do you need to make an appointment?

I want to be available for you anytime you need me. I would say 2-3 days advance notice is nice to be able to guarantee you get the appointment date and time that you desire. Same-day appointments are available, even if this means it is an appointment later in the evening. On rare occasions, my schedule is booked for the day. Of course, if your pet is suddenly in extreme distress and vocalizing, etc, then please take them to your nearest emergency clinic as you can not wait for a home pet euthanasia. There is a fee of $60.00 added due to the short notice and changing my schedule to accommodate your emergency needs. But I am happy to be there for you.

What days and hours are you available?

I like to be available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

What will euthanasia be like for my pet?

Pets love to meet me when I come to your home. They greet with me a way of their tail and appreciate the wonderful treats I offer them. They are comfortable in ways that surpirse my owners. Your pet will have a look of acceptance and trust and become comfortable with each moment. If they are anxious pets, you will be surprised at how well they behave. If they have a feisty, spunky personality , they will remain this same way throughout our time together. I love to see their personalities in these last loving moments. You will be surprisingly relaxed because your pet will be and you will be amazed at how well you feel after the euthanasia because your pet will pass without stress, worry and complications.

How long does the appointment take?

Most appointments last approximately one (1) hour for dogs and 45 minutes for cats. I do not think about time, time flies by. The importance is placed in love and making sure every owner and every pet has the time they need to say the words they want to say, take the time they need until they feel comfortable and not feel rushed so they have closure and peace.

Is there anything I need to do before you arrive?

Simply take your dog out for one last outside time within 1 hour of my arrival, if they are ambulatory. Place family cats in a bedroom together so we may introduce them to your beloved pet after the euthanasia. This relieves the stress of your cats, tremendously. I will show you why at the appointment.

Do I need proof from my family veterinarian?

This is not necessary. If you would like to ask me any questions about your pets condition and would like to provide blood work or other medical records so I can explain in further detail, then please have those available for my review. This helps me confirm your decision should you need such confirmation.

Why do you chose to do Euthanasia as a Veterinary Service?

I do this every day, because I truly love pets and their people. I love my profession, too. I feel honored, every day, to have the privilege to be able to come into the sanctity of your home and be present with a family who is giving such love to their beloved pet friend and family member. I get to feel and observe such perfectly pure love that these last loving moments provide. This is where I chose to give of myself and my time, pulling years of learning, heartfelt patience and perseverance to the test. I chose to spend my days, giving and helping people say good-bye with dignity. My reward is the heartfelt appreciation that comes out of the mouths of my clients, every day, who will not do it any other way from here forward.

Why does it cost more for in home pet euthanasia that my family veterinarian? What does your fees cover?

The fees are mostly to cover a veterinarians time. The average in home pet euthanasia and cremation delivery ranges from 4-5 hours a day which includes the hour drive to your home, an hour to the crematory delivery site, 1/2 hour at the cremation site preparing paperwork to assure proper completion, an hour in the home (more for extra time allowed per individual basis) and medications for injections. The physical examination is performed for no charge. The family veterinarian usually give injections that are more direct and time efficient. Their staff is in charge of the details I have described above as the veterinarian, themselves have a more pressing schedule and patients that requires their time. As an in home pet euthanasia service, i handle all of the administration duties myself. As this result, it makes this service possible.

Bereavement Studies Seeking Assistance

Please note: These bereavement studies are not affiliated in any way
with The Pet Loss Support Page.

Dr. Sherman Lee and Dr. Nicole Surething, researchers at Christopher
Newport University in Virginia, are conducting a study aimed at
understanding the ways in which people cope with the death of a pet.
This survey is in follow up to a previous questionnaire listed on this
website. If you participated in the previous study, you are also
qualified to participate in this study. Dr. Lee and Dr. Surething are
looking for adults 18 and older who have lost a pet. The findings from
this research will be used to develop a broader research base for
understanding the impact of pet loss and the various ways people cope
with such a loss. The questionnaire will ask questions about your pet
and your relationship with your pet, your attitudes, your personality
characteristics, and how you coped after the loss. Participation in
this study will take about 10-15 minutes; you may choose to end the
survey at any time. To participate, please click here to take the
survey.
